Skultuna station area

This section was the very first section that was built for the layout.It is a model of the local station area at home, just 800 meters from my house as it was around 1990 when passenger train traffic towards Ramnäs, Fagersta and Ludvika was withdrawn and moved to a new line further west.Freight traffic continued until the end of the 1990s, after which the rails were removed in the early 2000s

The section is too long and heavy to be easy "portable" for exhibitions, but was though an appriciated part of the first version of the exhibition layout.As myself, it has now retired from official dutys and is now, after some refurbishments, permanently mounted in the basement.
