Some of the green areas, meadows, cornfields and bushes, on the layout are made of fur, not real fur of course, we call it teddy or "cheat-fur" which is a kind of "hairy" fabric. Other areas are made with Woodland Scenics material, often I use to mix both methods. Later on there will be pictures of the the progress when the Woodland Scenics material is added to the modules.

	The "furs" I found on al fleemarket: The first thing to do is to cut the grass to proper length for grass and bushes. Other material: A couple of used toothbrushes, artists oilcolors - white, green umber and ochre - and turpentin. A lot of vapours will come out of the turpentine, so it´s better to be in a well ventilated area else you will become a rather "funny" peson when you are finished.

The fur in original colour glued in place with white glue.
Next is to cut the "grass" if the straws are too long.

To make the ground color a little bit lighter the fur is first smeared with white colour.

Now the fur at right i ready for coloring with greens and yellows.

Almost ready, just a little bit more of yellow to make it look lika late summer.
