While travelling with a Britrail pass in Scotland 1984, I took this photo of a BR Class 27 shunting a J&B wagon at Nairn. On this journey I had my first tastes of both british railways and scotch whiskies at their best, and the taste is still lasting. There were in fact a few more whiskies than J&B ;-) |

N scale model I did not find any wagon of the same type as the prototype so I made the conversion to a couple of other tank wagons. The left one is an old Piko wagon. The right one is a Peco 15 ft tank wagon kit, KNR-P50 The tanks are painted with a yellowish white and then heavy weathered. The lettering is made by computer with Corel Draw and printed on Walthers decal sheet on a laser printer.
